In 2005-06 LORECA co-ordinated two working groups to:
- Tackle key issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers in relation to employment, training, and enterprise
- Identify any policy or practice changes required
- Develop standards for service delivery where relevant
The two themes were:
- Sources of Funding for the Refugee Sector
The working group investigated the current funding environment for the refugee sector to make recommendations for how this can operate more effectively. - Quality of Advice and Guidance Provision
The working group investigated the current provision of advice and guidance in the refugee sector to make recommendations on how quality can be enhanced.
LORECA is currently preparing the final reports, which will be published on this website in early 2008. The findings will be used to advocate for change on behalf of the sector.
