LORECA is offering free training to Refugee Community Organisations (RCOs). Some courses are also open to those who are associated or work with refugees. Please contact the training provider for more information. Areas covered by the training are outlined below.
Understanding Overseas Qualifications
Training delivered by UK NARIC. UK NARIC provides official comparability guidelines between UK and overseas qualifications. Please note: UK NARIC courses are also open to non-RCOs. The sessions will provide a unique opportunity for organisations to improve their capacity to advise individuals on the UK equivalency of their overseas qualifications and to put them on the right track towards re-qualifying in their chosen profession.

Organisational Development
Training delivered by Refugee Women's Association in partnership with Harrow Refugee Forum. Topics will include:
- managing finances
- effective fundraising activities
- how to write a business plan
- partnership working and networking
- equal opportunities policies
- roles and responsibilities of management committee members
- Quality Mark training

Employment Related Advice and Guidance Provision
Training delivered by Refugee Council. Topics will include:
- job search skills
- information, advice and guidance

All courses are open to staff, trustees, and volunteers of RCOs. Participants must have permission to work and reside in the UK. Refugees
are particularly encouraged to attend. Expenses will be reimbursed.
